about
Paulo Madureira (Porto, September 1999) is a visual artist and photographer. Currently based in London, Paulo creates artworks that explore various themes, including queerness, mental health and his connection to nature. He started photographing at 13 but only recently found a meaningful use of the medium. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography, and he’s now doing freelance as a fashion and music photographer.
Paulo's creative practice involves printmaking and installation, which allows him to bring his ideas to life in a tangible and immersive way. His work often reflects on the ephemeral nature and the fragility of the art piece. He is interested in experimental and sustainable photographic techniques. Julia Margaret Cameron, Duane Michals and Sally Mann are a few of his inspirations.
